I had such a great time at the Shaker Lane School in Littleton, MA today.Lori read my book, “Larry In The Amazon”, to the kindergarten and first graders.I was there last year and the first graders remembered me and were super excited to see me again.
They told me how much they loved me and how my book was their favorite story. It made my scales tingle with joy. Some of them recognized me from Touch a Truck Day last year.
On this visit, we brought artifacts from the Amazon; a mask, a blow gun from the Yagua Indians and piranha teeth. The kids loved them all, but were disappointed that Lori wouldn’t shoot a dart from the blow gun.She said something about safety and not using a weapon.
Both grades asked wonderful questions. They wanted to know why I, Larry The Lizard, was created.Lori said “to spread love and joy around the world. To show children everywhere that anything in life can be an adventure and be shared with others.Even going grocery shopping is an adventure, that recess is an adventure and that adventures can be created in our imaginations and then in the world.”
Lori passed me and Plush Larry around so all the kids could check us out, they were gentle and kind.I wish I could show you pictures, but we aren’t allowed to post pictures of children without their parent’s permission.
Lori was so excited by the love she felt in the room as she read and shared that she almost cried with joy.
I hope I can visit a lot more schools and be with kids that love me, it was AWESOME.
If you have a Plush Larry, make sure that you take pictures and email them to us

Andy and Lori took a few Plush Larry's to London, England and they all visited Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the Churchill Museum and of course walked along the Thames river. The site seeing was all so much fun and Plush Larry was excited to learn so much about England while he was there. Plush Larry made new friends and decided to stay. See some of the pictures.
London is all abuzz about the big wedding next month of Prince William and Kate. The statues are being cleaned all around the city; London has always been a beautiful city, but now it is sparkling.
